  • HERITAGE SUNDAY- FEBRUARY 22, 2026

    -Commemorating the first worship service in February 1976, our start within context of Lutheran Mission Development in Texas, and our early years.

    -Worship at 9:30AM

    -Bishop Emeritus Rev. Dr. Kevin Kanouse preaches in worship

    -Mark Vinciguerra remembers his years at Advent

    -Former Organist, Darrell Crim returns as guest organist

    -Reception to follow worship

  • CORNERSTONE WEEKEND- JUNE 13 & 14, 2026

    -Opening of the time capsule placed in the Cornerstone when building was completed. 

    -June 13 at 4:00 pm: Removal of the Cornerstone and examination of

    contents followed by Contemporary Music Celebration in evening led by Hunter Birkhead & Peyton Strouth

    -June 14: Pastor John Hildner preaches in worship, Pastor Joel Burkholder shares Advent memories

    -50 Year History of Advent Books are available!

  • JUBILEE CELEBRATION WEEKEND- OCTOBER 24 & 25, 2026

    -Commemorating the closing of the charter and the official birth of Advent Lutheran Church.

    -Bishop Erik Gronberg preaches Sunday morning

    -Music Festival with returning organists and directors of music & worship

    featuring: Kevin Keele, Ben Baldwin, Pr. Joel Burkholder, Noralyn Carpenter, Peyton Strouth, Hunter Birkhead

    -Pastor Marc Hander share Advent memories

    -Cornerstone replacement

    -Celebration Banquet on Sunday following worship
