    Handbells - Assorted groups with different skill levels.  Groups rehearse weekly.

    JOY choir - The children sing in worship as they are ready, and present a musical each spring.  Rehearsals Sundays, 5:00 to 6:00 pm

    JOY chimes- children and parents use Tone Chimes and are learning to ring

     Adult choirs - Each of our worship services (8:00, 9:30 & 11:00)  has an ensemble that provides vocal leadership for the singing of hymns, psalms, liturgy and anthems

     Orchestra - instrumentalists offer special music for special services

     3  - Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm a Worship service for Jr. & Sr. High youth led by the 3 band with a message geared toward their lives

     5th & 6th grade - an activity is held quarterly for this age group, ie: game or movie night, Christmas party. 

     Junior High Mission Trip - going to Kansas City : June 22-27, 2008

     Senior High Mission Trip - going to Ozark Mountains : June 8-13, 2008

                                                                    Puerto Rico : July 13-17, 2008

Quilters Group - A group who get together to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Meets the every Wednesday.  Contact Peggy Mosher

Lydia Circle - Women's Bible Study which meets the third Monday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Gathering Room.  Contact Sue Gabrielson

Naomi Circle - Women's Bible Study which meets the first Tuesday of the month at 9:30 am in the Gathering Room. Contact Lois Paulsen

Confirmation Program - for 7th & 8th graders; to equip them in making a life-long commitment to Jesus Christ and His church.  Meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm in AC202

Lutheran Men in Mission Bible Study -meets Thursdays at 7:00 pm in the Robing Room. Contact Tom Ness

Vacation Bible School - a week long session of learning, laughing and crafts.  A great Outreach to the neighborhood and usually takes place in June.  Contact Deby Wright 817.465.3104

Confirmation Camp - a week long camp experience at Briarwood Lutheran Camp in Argyle

Discovery classes- New Member classes taught by Pastor Joel for those interested in joining the ministry of Advent Lutheran Church

Advent Christian Prescholo- Our Preschool program for children 18 months- pre-kindergarten held on Tuesdays and Thursdays , during the school year, from 9:00-2:00.  Contact Anne Yarmchuk 817.465.0181

DivorceCare - a support group for seperated or divorced folks. Contact Dave Jannsen

Small Group - there are many active Small Groups.  Contact Donetta Ludwick

Stephen Ministers - an active program that provides one on one ministering by trained. Contact Shirley Tolles

Elderberries - persons age 55+ meet the 1st Thursday of the month for dessert and education.  Contact Varian Barkhurst

Fun 4 Lunch Bunch - persons age 55+ meet the 3rd Thursday of the month for lunch and fellowship.  Contact Lois Paulson

Advent Widows - a social group that meets the 2nd Saturday of the month for lunch and fellowship.  Contact Delores Trokey

Six Strings 'n' Coffee Beans Coffee House Ministry -  an outreach ministry at Advent Lutheran Church.  This event gives folks a chance to visit, play games and listen to great live entertainment.  The Coffee House is held on the 2^nd Friday evening of each month from 7-10 PM, but check the calendar for the exact dates. Men's Mid-week Breakfast - meet at Denny's on South Cooper at 7:00 am Wednesday mornings.  All men are invited. Contact Tom Ness

Women of Advent - a monthly service group with entertainment and guest speakers.  WoA also sponsors the Pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday, the Holiday Extravaganza in November, a PEPP scholarship student, serves for funeral meals, raises funds for special needs plus numerous other events throughout the year.  Contact Roberta Dennis

Casas por Cristo - a mission trip to Mexico to build a home for a deserving family.  Contact Pam Tinsley

Quilting Class - interested in learning to quilt?  Classes are held the third Saturday of the month in AC101. Contact Terrie Kelley
