Originally from Ohio, Pastor Deb moved with her family to Texas in the 80's. She served as Advent's Director of Music where her whole family became very active and where two of her sons and their families are still active members. While at Advent, she heard the call to go to seminary to become an ordained pastor and studied at Perkins School of Theology & Lutheran School of Theology Chicago. 

She has served at many congregations within the NTNL Synod, along with leading various workshops and serving as pulpit supply. 

She is now active in several social justice groups and enjoys her days traveling, explring restaurants with family and friends, and spreading her "mermaid pastor" joy.
